These days, website designers and developers are charging exorbitant prices to create websites that could be completed for a fraction of the price. These higher prices don't always mean that you are getting the best website possible. The variation in pricing is unbelievable. In some cases, you could even be getting robbed.
Currently, the web design industry has not set standards or regulations for how much designers may charge their clients. The best analogy I can give is the simple situation of taking your automobile to the shop. In the car repair business, there is a book that lists how many labor hours repairs should take. The mechanic simply applies his labor rate to those numbers of hours. However, in the web design industry, a designer just pulls a random number out of his head and attaches an hourly rate to it. You have no idea if what you're being charged is a fair price. Occasionally, the designer may even be using tools to create the website that did not cost him one cent to use.
This is why I consider myself the Robin Hood of website design. I intend to save you money and not let you be robbed by the money grubbing, fat-cat conglomerates that require you to take out a loan just to create a simple one page website.
